Breast uplift and implants

Some ladies need an uplift prior to breast augmentation. This is if there is an excess of a drop to the breasts that cannot be corrected by implants alone or with a breast lift at the time of the implants.

In summary

I perform breast augmentation regularly in my practice using the implants manufactured by Allergan or Mentor (information on each company can be found on the download sheet). They are world-renowned for the safety and construction of their implants. I use implants that have a texture to their surface as this has been shown to help reduce the incidence of a tight band of tissue, called capsular contracture, forming around them.

I use COHESIVE GEL implants which mean that they stay in shape and even if they rupture the contents say in place. Some people call them “gummy bear” inconsistency. They can be round or shaped (teardrop) as your preference and we will have a full discussion about size in my consultation clinic.

During the consult, I will assess your requirement and advise if you need a breast lift as well as breast implants. I also do a breast lift and enlarge the breast with your own fat to increase the size instead of using silicone implants.

This does require a suitable layer of subcutaneous fat to achieve an increase in breast cup size.
